Work Permit Application Instructions

Complete the student portion of the work permit application. Include your social security number and your birthday. Be sure to obtain a parent signature.

Read and sign the green contract. Have your parent sign the green contract.

Take the application and contract to your employer to complete. Be certain the employer has included the insurance carrier information. Have the employer sign the green contract and the work permit application.

Bring the completed forms to the Career Center in H-4. But it in the box on the wall and note the date your work permit will be ready. (It takes two to three days for us to complete a work permit.)

Work permits must be processed according to our school policy.

We are unable to do them on demand.

Rocklin High School Work Permit Agreement

To be eligible for a work permit a student must be making satisfactory progress toward graduation with a minimum of a 2.0 grade point average and no more than two Incompletes on the most recent report card. Students must also be maintaining satisfactory attendance.

Work permits will be revoked if students are not making satisfactory progress toward graduation. These means students must maintain a 2.0 g.p.a. with no more than two Incompletes on the most recent report card.

Students with work permits issued by Rocklin High School are required to maintain satisfactory attendance and academic performance according to Education Code 49164 to maintain a work permit.

Work permits will be revoked if students fail to meet satisfactory attendance, as defined by State law.
